Our coziest jacket yet.
The newest jacket from Machines, redesigned for cozy comfort and reflective for staying safe. The Twilight Jacket features new, ribbed cuffs and collar lining in a soft knit for staying cozy where it matters most. (And if you're most excited about a softer place to wipe your nose, we're totally with you). Plus, new reflective details to stay visible when riding during dawn and dusk.
In our favorite fabric (you know it from the Daybreak Jacket and All Weather Vest), this piece features 4-Way stretch, which basically means it stretches in every direction, for every curve. Our favorite part is the texture: it's velvety and matte, never clammy or sticky, even when you're sweating.
Try it off the bike too. Perfect for evening trail runs, coffee hangs, quick commutes and those crazy days that involve all three.
- Premium European fabric is wind-proof and water resistant, without that plastic-y, clammy feeling.
- New knit cuffs and collar lining for improved levels of coziness.
- 4-Way stretch for a fantastic fit that won't balloon in the wind.
- Ultra light and packable.
- Top quality self-locking zippers
- Reflective details on the shoulders and cuffs for visibility.
Size & Fit
I love the color. The jacket fit is awesome..no budging, no flapping in the wind, and takes the chill out of the early morning. Crams well into a Jersey pocket.
So it took me a while to start wearing this jacket, since I bought it in the southern hemisphere summer. But with the weather becoming cooler I started to wear it...and wear it, and wear it again. OMG it is brilliant...this would be the first jacket i have had that doesn't sweat like a plastic bag, feels delicious and stretchy and it is keeping me warm in the Aussie winter (admittedly that isn't as cold as some northern hemisphere winters). But at around 6ºC I've worn it over a long fleece jersey and I don't need anything else but maybe a wind vest on some days. Plus, I have had so many comments on the lovely and flattering cut...I liked it so much I've lashed out, had to deal with the poor Aussie dollar and postage, but bought a second one...you know when you find something that is just right for YOU. Buy two!
I actually own the daybreak jacket in small and extra small because I like it so much.. I didn't notice that the twilight jacket (my fault) didn't have a back pocket until I went to put it on this weekend .. bummer!! I really like the back pocket on the daybreak. It makes retrieving my phone or fuel super easy when I am all layered up....which is pretty often, living in central New York. Awesome, comfy fabric, pretty color, nice reflective details but I on the fence about keeping because I might be a girl who needs a pocket, lol..
I bought this jacket for early morning rides before work. It is perfect for layering. I would suggest if you have a larger bust or larger shoulders, sizing up despite the size chart. When I wear it with layers, it can be a uncomfortably tight in the shoulders. None the less, I am pleased with the purchase.
Best fitting jacket I own. Snug but stretchy, compatible with layers for cold mornings that lead to warm afternoons. Water rolls off and cuffs and neck fabric is cozy. So easy to roll up and pack in a pocket. And the color is fantastic especially paired with the yellow all weather vest!
