In sleeveless and long sleeve options, The Luxe Cropped Base is the ultimate layer for staying cool and comfortable on rides all year round. On hot summer days, sweat is whisked off of the skin to keep you dry. In cooler weather, less sweat means no damp fabrics that make you feel colder. What we love most is the silk-like feeling that hugs the body and makes any kit combo feel luxurious.
Our goal was to design a base layer that felt silky against the body and eliminated unnecessary bulk under bibs and short. The Luxe Cropped Base has been designed to slip seamlessly into bottom layers, in both a sleeveless and long sleeve version.
Inside tip: the long sleeve style is the perfect layering piece to transition your Summerweight Jersey into fall and winter!
- Super soft, silk-like Better Than Skin fabric is designed to wick moisture away from the skin for a cooling, quick-drying effect.
- High-gauge for excellent compression and abrasion resistance.
- Flattering, cropped cut hits just below the natural waist to avoid bunching and scrunching when tucked into compressive bottom layers like bib shorts and cycling pants.
- Elegant center logo provides high-power visibility on the darkest nights, but a subtle and stealth appearance during the day.
- Fantastic fit with 4-Way stretch developed to hug curvier figures.
- UPF 50+ Sun Protection
- The Long Sleeve Base sleeves are tailored to provide perfect coverage in riding position.

To get the longest life out of your garment, we recommend washing in cold water with a mild detergent and hanging it to dry.
For cycling bibs and shorts, the HIP MEASUREMENT is the most crucial factor. Measure around the WIDEST POINT of the hips/bum. If you are between sizes or petite (5'3" or under), we recommend SIZING DOWN for a compressive fit. A snug fit is crucial to performance. (Please note, the fit guide requires chest, waist and hip measurements.)
So far, I have only had a chance to wear this baselayer in cool weather, not cold, but enjoy the way that it fits seamlessly under my kit. It wicks sweat well and keeps the chill off of your arms. I'm 5'4", 140lbs and the Medium is snug and perfect. I am sure I will get a lot of wear out of this and look forward to more colors in the future.
Love this base layer for short rides outside in the heat or to layer under other technical shirts!
I've been wearing this base for a couple months and absolutely love it. It is very light weight and I wear it under the summerweight jersey on hot days to help wick and on cooler days to keep a little extra warmth. It is the best base I've ever had and as someone who sweats alot and then chills, a base layer is key so I've tried many! It also looks fantastic and could easily be worn on its own. I plan to order the long sleeve version next so that I'm ready for the cooler fall weather.
I like this base layer. I've not worn it riding yet, just as a regular top. I didn't size down as recommended because I didn't want it to fit too snug, especially because I knew it was cut shorter at the waist. The high neck is great sun protection and flattering. Fingers crossed MFF will make a white one too.
