THE SUN PROTECTION KIT // Save $50
New! Build Your Kit: Women's Cycling Kit Essentials now available as a set for easy shopping, easy kitting, and bundled for a special price.
After struggling for years with tan lines, sunburns, and carrying tubes of sunscreen for reapplication, we knew there had to be a better way. Turns out, clothing can provide the most reliable (and easiest to apply) form of sun protection, and it doesn't have to make you hot either. We've combined extremely lightweight fabrics with our high-performance cycling gear for a solution that actually works and protects your skin from sun exposure on long rides.
The Sun Protection Kit features a lightweight cycling bib pant combined with an ultra-lightweight long-sleeved jersey. The Most Versatile Pant is the first of its kind, a bib pant with an endurance-grade chamois for long-distance riding and mesh panels for comfort and ventilation. Add a Summerweight Long Sleeve Jersey in Blush Palm or Midnight Palm and ride with UPF 50+ without overheating. We recommend this combo for riding all year round: it's perfect on it's own for rides of 65º-75º F, or add a vest and warm socks for cooler temps.
Size & Fit
Notes about fit
- A snug fit is crucial to performance. Think of this bib as Spanx for your bike.
- Ultra high density ischiatic inserts will stay comfortable for up to 6 hours in the saddle. Positioning works for all sit bones widths.
- Thermo-molded design makes this chamois look, and feel, less bulky.
- High density ‘pelvic track’ insert shaped for a woman’s anatomy.
- Extremely soft and breathable fabric. Polymide-carbon threading makes the fabric ultra fast drying, bacteriostatic, and reduces heat gain during long hours in the saddle.
The kit is so beautiful and even more breathable. It really keeps you looking and feeling cool. One detail that would enhance this kit is reflective strips or tabs, for those of us later afternoon into early eve riders. The jersey has huge pockets, which is hard to come by in women’s clothing, how MFF made giant yet sleek pockets is a magical mystery to me. The chamois is v luxe and silky, but I seriously despise standard bibs because of the requirement to disrobe to use the rr. I feel anxious playing this game of keeping my gear off the public restroom floor/out of the toilet, then its an exercise in patience to kit back up, long sleeved jersey & all over and around my sweaty sticky body...I would definitely invest in another pair if pants/capris/shorts were an option OR maybe the halter mechanism for bibs could accommodate the female form a bit better, just over the head, around the neck and down like pants?? Thanks for all that y’all do to make riding more comfortable for women!
I bought the kit, knowing that I could return the bibs. I bought the small top and bottom (5'4" 120 lb). My first ride was 84 miles after 72 the previous day (in different brand of bottoms). With the MFF, I had no problem with the soft tissue, which is unusual for me! I also thought they were flattering. I am thinking about buying the tall endurance bibs. My only wishes are for nature break and reflective features. Today I wore the long-sleeve jersey. The jersey is a little tighter than most that I wear, but it looked better than the medium I also tried. The temp reached a sunny 80, and I was quite comfortable. Loved the deep pockets. Also would like reflective features.
I love my long bib and sun protection jersey! I ordered Smalls based on the size chart but both were a bit too small so I exchanged for Mediums. I’m probably somewhere in between but stuck with the Mediums.
I love everything about MFF. Style, fit, quality, materials and customer service, which is unique!
Love the design and material. I ordered xxs but arms are bit too long so sleeves come up above my wrist.
