BUILD YOUR BASE
With just enough padding to keep you comfortable in the saddle-but not so much that you look and feel bulky-the Foundations Liner Short glides smoothly under clothing or cycling layers. Made with ultra-high-wicking fabric and breathable mesh panels, this durable base layer efficiently wicks away moisture and helps reduce chafing, even on the sweatiest rides. Use the Foundations Liner Shorts to cushion your commute, buffer your MTB ride, or pad your Peleton workout. No matter where you are headed, we'll help you build your base.
Make it a match set with our compatible Foundations Sports Bra.
Foundations is our feminine solution to performance undergarments, and it all started with a hunt for the perfect cycling shorts. For most rides, cycling bibs and shorts are overkill in the padding department, but no chamois at all is just plain painful! We wanted something in between full-on bike shorts and unpadded Lycra, but we couldn't find our dream liner shorts anywhere. So we made our own!

For cycling bibs and shorts, the HIP MEASUREMENT is the most crucial factor. Measure around the WIDEST POINT of the hips/bum. If you are between sizes or petite (5'3" or under), we recommend SIZING DOWN for a compressive fit. A snug fit is crucial to performance. Check out our FIT GUIDE for more detailed instructions, or pop your measurements into the fit calculator above for a personalized recommendation! (Please note, the fit guide requires chest, waist and hip measurements.)
I sit squarely in the middle of a size medium and was super excited to try these liners since I feel pretty "meh" about the Zoic ones I have. Unfortunately they aren't so great for my body shape and short stature (5'2"), since my waist is pretty straight up and down. The waistband immediately rolls over when I move and becomes very uncomfortable, like someone has tied a rope around my middle. SUPER disappointing, since the chamois and the rest of the fit is fantastic!
These would be better for someone who has a more hourglass shape, or at least a waistline that goes in significantly. Even though I am on the short side, my torso is proportionate and these seemed to have too long of a waistband as well. Glad the bibs are back in stock so I can give those a shot instead...
My friend got these and said they were super tight to start off. I didn’t find them THAT tight. But they feel really nice and good quality. However the gripper on the leg seems to always flip up and rollup uncomfortably. They don’t really work the way I had hoped as a liner short for mtb. Maybe on a spin bike they would be better.
After looking at the description I knew I was taking a chance with these shorts not fitting me. Though they are definitely snug, the largest size does fit! My hips/lower belly measurement is 52" and my waist is 42". I am 5'6" and these also fit me fairly well as far as length goes, with the waistband hitting my smallest part. They are very cute on, and while the waistband doesn't roll down I did find that the legs roll up my thigh a bit. Otherwise very comfortable and perfect for when I want to wear non-cycling clothes on my bike.
I like these overall and think they'll be perfect for me in a lot of situations (especially bike commuting to work) but they do seem to run really small. I have MFF bibs in the same size that fit perfectly but these don't fit nearly as well.
I hate riding without any sort of chamois., but I hate the way they feel under my jeans or pants feel when I’m commuting. Bc of this ,I’m always caring around spare clothes to change into to let my bottom breath. With these liners there is no need to do that. I can wear these babies all day if I need to and be super comfortable in them for hours. Truest a game changer.
