Technical, high-perfoming, sleek.
This bib is different. After riding dozens of chamois and finding many of them too narrow and positioned too far forward or back, we analyzed years of bike fit data with Steven Carre of Bike Effect, one of the top fitters in Los Angeles. Armed with this knowledge, we took into account factors such as foam density, fabric and quality of construction, and after hundreds of miles of road testing we finally narrowed it down to the one chamois we believe to be the best fit for most women.
While the chamois is important, it’s not what makes or breaks a bib. We’ve taken everything into consideration when developing the bodice and fit of our Endurance Bib. We took a new approach to the cut and materials used to develop the bib bodice to make it comfortable for varying heights and chest sizes while providing great coverage around the mid section and still optimizing breathability. The leg band utilizes game-changing compression that allows us to eliminate the dreaded sausage leg. Our bib comes in two inseam lengths for those who prefer a shorter short. The result is something we hope you’ll love as much as we do. Learn about compression.
The Machines For Freedom jersey exists at the intersection of athleticism and femininity. It's form-fitting, compressive, and creates a lean silhouette designed to flatter a woman's body. We developed our own pattern that creates a softer look and has proper length in the front and the back. We also paid close attention to the pockets. Our pockets are sized to carry everything you need with you from coffee rides to centuries. We thought through all the details, from a moisture-proof zip pocket for necessities to lie-flat zippers and mesh paneling for extra breathability.
Our prints are designed to let you express yourself the way you’d like, just like you do with off-the-bike apparel. We see no reason why style should fly out the window once you hop on the bike. The Machines vibe is modern, sophisticated, and meant to be styled in your own way. We love to see what you come up with!
We design outerwear with fit and function in mind. Gone are the days of vests and jackets that balloon and flap in the wind and perform only a singular purpose. Machines gear is versatile, and while perfect for layering, functions on its own as well. We use softer materials that still block wind and weather and maintain their flattering shape, even while descending.
Considered details like extra large pockets for larger layers and high-collars to protect the neck from windchill set Machines outerwear apart. Of course they also fit perfectly into our jersey pockets, because temperatures fluctuate on long rides!
The Machines aesthetic celebrates personal style and is meant to be mixed and matched however you please. Our accessories always complement certain looks without being overly matchy, meaning one cap can go with multiple jerseys, or multiple caps could be worn with the same kit. Of course our caps and socks are technical too, and always come in varying sizes and heights for whatever your preference.
