Comfortable where it counts

I wore these for a century ride two weeks ago. I was comfortable in the saddle-area all day, however the mesh part in the abdomen region was a little uncomfortable. The chamois in the Endurance bib is superior to any bike shorts that I had, so being comfortable in the saddle outweighed a slight discomfort on my belly.

I’m 5’4, 128lbs, and was glad I ordered a medium.

So happy I found you

My husband, who is an avid rider, told me about Machines for Freedom. I’m so happy he did. I always have hated bike clothing and it actually deterred me from riding. Nothing ever fit well. I’ve never worn bibs before. These are a game changer. Not only are they super comfortable, they actually make me look look!! Lol! I would love to buy a jersey but I hope you come out with some solid colors. As much as I love the prints and appreciate their design, they aren’t necessarily my style. I’d really like to try the fit! I will definitely be getting another pair of bibs! Thank you for filling a giant void in the cycling world!

I am ordering an extra pair so I can ditch my other shorts!

I do not have a “typical” cyclist body. I am 5’4”, wear a size 18 (do not use plus sizes to gauge whether these will fit!!), and have had three kids. The thighs have been the most challenging part of the shorts. There is about a half centimeter of roll up on only one of my legs. I don’t know why it is just one leg, but there you go. I have one other pair of bibs and two pairs of shorts. Here is why these are worth the investment.
1. The chamois is better. I am much more comfortable on the trainer. I haven’t worn these in a race yet, but I am sure they will be great!
2. The actual fabric goes up higher before it changes to mesh. This is important because my cycling jersey can ride up, showing some skin that I don’t care to show.
3. The tummy control panel (which sounds odd, I know) prevents the fabric from rolling downward, even if I don’t have the bib straps up.
4. I don’t have any problems with the straps rubbing or leaving marks on my shoulders.

Making New Kit Day awesome!

This is my 2d pair of MVPs - MFF really makes the only chamois I trust for long days, and the MVP can handle a lot of temperature change and saves me the trouble of reapplying sunscreen. They also make me look bomb-ass awesome.

BONUS: the first day I rode this pair, I had a horribly embarrassing accident. I dropped my chain on a steep climb and couldn’t unclip. I fell over in slow motion (keeping my hands on the bars and sticking my ass out to absorb the fall, like you’re supposed to). My first concern was, “are my bibs ok?” They were! (And the blood from the scrape on the inside came out in the wash, and a week of Tegaderm took care of the scrape.)

I’m sure the bibs aren’t indestructible, but they’ve survived my efforts so far.

Nice pants.

The pants would benefit from a foot strap so they don’t creep up your shins. The waist and bib need to be a bit tighter to keep chamois from sliding backwards. They look and feel great, just not right for an extended tour style ride.

Love the MVP

These are my first bibs and they don’t disappoint. Great feel with the compression, flattering (shockingly), and the recommended size was perfect. They are just warm enough for a 3 hour ride at 40 degrees in the wind. Will hopefully test them in warmer temps soon.

The Most AMAZING pant

These tights are worth every penny. I was hesitant to purchase as I wasn’t sure of my size and had never worn MFF before. I submitted a question on the fit and Ginger got back to me right away. Based on my measurements, she recommended an xs. I was like, “no way” lol. I ordered a small and after trying them on and taking them for a ride I reached out to Ginger again. She talked me through how they were supposed to fit, I realized she was right all along. (Take their advice - They are spot on!). I shipped back the small and got the xs. They fit perfectly. I am so impressed both with the quality of the tights and chamois, as well as MFF customer service. They were SO helpful. If you haven’t checked them out yet, do it now! You won’t regret it.

Wow!

I never thought spandex would make me want to ride more! But that's how inspiring these mvp pants are. Beautiful craftsmanship, best chamois I have ever tried and just right for a wide range of temperatures. Plus, I get to skip the goopy sunblock. Love love love.

Favourite jersey

Amazing fit, really good quality fabric, beautiful print... and so comfortable. I'm finding in Australia with a base layer I can wear it during our sunny winter right now, too. Matching water bottles a stylish bonus. For reference, I'm an Australian size 10 (us 6), 5'4" and the medium fits great - would probably fit a size 12 (us 8) also. Awesome customer service and extremely fast shipping - even to Australia. So happy and grateful to have this beautiful piece!

Best jersey ever!

This jersey is 🔥🔥🔥 it's super comfortable and fits me perfectly. Definitely true to size. I am 5'4" 130 pounds and typically wear a size small. I've been wearing it in 70-80 degree weather and it's perfect.

LOVE IT

I got this jersey because my boyfriend is paranoid I'm going to get skin cancer (valid) and I hate the feel of sunscreen. Boom. Problem solved. Plus I love it for all the reasons I only wear MFF: amazing fabric, big pockets, super durable, and lots of stretch. Thank you, Machines!!

Happy

The jersey is so great. It really does have a cooling effect. My only complaint is that the sleeves still seem to slide back and I have that dreaded wedge space between my gloves and my long sleeve that is exposed to the sun, so I am constantly trying to pull out the sleeves while I ride. They are long enough, but just won’t stay put. I do have very small wrists.

Things I like:
- I don't like jerseys that are too short, and this one is nice and long
- the fabric is both silky and soft and technical
- coldblack prevented the jersey from heating up on some pretty warm sunny days. I felt comfortable in this jersey on a very sunny day in the high 70's low 80's
- the fit is so flattering. I usually wear an xs, (32 bust, 25 waist, 34 hip), and the xs fit great

Things I didn't like:
- nothing!

Standout quality and feel. Jenn advised me to buy small for 35.5 inch bust and I have perfect race fit. There is slight puckering at top shoulder line that I am hoping works out over time. I had previously purchased medium in thrive green dot print and it is loose and not the right size. Listen to Jenn!

I love it.

MFF Jersey does not always disappoint me. I think this jersey is a perfect understanding of the female body. I love it.

The perfect jersey!

Literally the perfect Jersey. Super soft, flattering, nice and fitted, and the pockets hold a LOT without getting saggy or stretching out. I used to dread carrying my third bottle in my jersey for long hot rides but it’s not a problem at all now. At first I thought MFF was too pricy but all the stuff I’ve gotten has been more than worth it- I don’t really wear other brands anymore because they don’t compare ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Best Jersey I Own!

I don’t know where to start here because there’s so much I love about this jersey (and this company!) The quality is amazing. You will not find a more comfortable, form fitting, functional, and flattering jersey out there. I was told I was crazy to spend $175 on a cycling jersey but I would do it again and again. The zipper on the side is perfect for your phone or credit cards and the pockets in the back aren’t large and clunky like others. This shirt has a compression feel so it’s so form fitting and looks great on. The material is otherworldly! I can not recommend this company enough!

glaxay wind vest

looks sleek, fits well, and i appreciate that the MFF logo is understated and not flashy. it also feels amazing to have pockets finally since i don't often sport a jersey. definitely a worthwhile investment for Portland riding.

Galaxie Wind Vest

Bought this just in time for a hilly fall century. It kept me warm in the chilly morning and going down long descents. The vest felt light and did not feel like I was overheating on the climbs, when others had to stop to peel off layers. All in all, I would recommend it as a must-have for fall and spring riding.

Favorite Wind Vest

I bought this vest about a year and a half ago and it has become my favorite piece of cycling apparel. The cut and style is very flattering and construction is very durable. This vest has held up to constant wear and washing and still performs as good as new. My only word of caution is that the mesh material comprising the upper back of the vest is vulnerable to snagging but so far I only have a couple small snags. The size chart is pretty accurate. I am 5' 10" 145lbs (bust 33", waist 27", hips 40") and I ended up sizing down to a small (I prefer a medium in MFF jerseys). The fit of the small is perfect for me but if my chest were any bigger I would need to size up to the medium. The hem falls right at my hip bones - just past my jersey hems, the arm holes are sized perfectly, and the fabric at the bust and waist doesn't gape or fold up on itself while I'm riding. It fits nicely over thicker winter jerseys but I would need to size up if I wanted it to fit over a bulky cycling jacket. All in all, this vest is completely worth the price. I would purchase another one in a heartbeat if this one wore out; but so far there are no signs of that happening any time soon.

Staple piece

I think that vests often get overlooked as a necessary piece to a quality kit. They are so versatile and can be easily stored in a jersey pocket. I find vests to be perfect for rides that may start chilly or ones with climbing and descending. Take the vest off or unzip when you start to put down the watts; put it back on when you start hauling the descent. I love the fit of this vest and that it has 2 large pockets. Machines for Freedom is 100% focused on making cycling a better, more inviting place for ladies. With the rad work they are doing and the amazing products they are putting out, I cannot recommend a brand more. 5'3 and 130 lbs- small vest is perfect.
