Really like these, my only gripe is that the waistband rolls down on me. I possibly could go up a size but I prefer my bottoms to fit snug. Chamois is very comfy. I would buy again even with the waistband rolling.
Chamois was much larger than I like and item was super small in size otherwise quality of material was great but I had to return
I have returned to road bike riding in Los Angeles after I sustained a pelvic fracture in connection with a fall from my bike. That was 3+ years ago. At that time ,I was an avid cyclist riding 5,000 miles per year. Then, there was no such thing (to my knowledge) as a padded cycling tight. I wore bibs, but hated bathroom breaks. Coming back to cycling now, I was thrilled to find that my favorite brand had created padded cycling tights. I absolutely love them!!! I am an active 66 years young, 5’6”” tall, curvy and muscular, weighing in at 138 pounds. The medium fits me perfectly. My experience is that when you first try on MFF tights, they feel tight. I do not like tight. However, when you put them on a second time and thereafter, they fit perfect . Thank you for this great garment for cycling enthusiasts.
LOVE them so much!!! I am 5’8 and 120 lbs and got the medium. There is a lot of compression but they are comfortable. I normally wear capris but the long length is not hot because of the ventilation. The padding is superb.
My husband thinks machines should make some 50 upf for men because of how cool and protected I stay in the hot sun.
run about one size two small. it fit two tight in the waist would be uncomfortable to ride in, the styling of the top of the pants for riding needs to be redesigned, does not come up high enough in the back to accommodate the pad. the front cuts into the waist. Fabric has too much compression to be comfortable for hours in the seat cycling.
I'm in Wisconsin and these bibs are perfect for those middle-temp fall and spring rides in the 50s. I even wore them for a long cold gravel race in the 20s with some overpants and they were perfect as a base layer/chamois. I wear size small in the new endurance bibs and found the size small in the Versatile Pant just slightly less tight, but great fitting and great for long (5-6 hour) rides!
I am still learning the best in cycling gear... I do love the bibs. They are very comfortable, but other comments made me panic about the sizing. I over-sized and returned for a smaller size - and could have gone down another size! I bought 3XL, according to the sizing, but then returned for a 2XL. The return process is sooooo easy and streamlined!!. The 2XL is still roomy - but didn't have time before a trip to return again. These are not compression bibs - so easy on and off. the straps are comfortable and stay put.
I've been trying for a long time to get bibs in my size (XXXL) with a really good chamois. Machines for Freedom have been very helpful in making sure I found some. I've only done a few rides with them so far but they are significantly more comfortable than any other bibs I've worn. Initially I tried the Endurance bibs in the standard length. They were a little short and rolled up. The full length MVPs overcome this problem, and feel great as we move into the cooler months in the southern hemisphere. Worth every cent. I'm encouraged to try the Tall version of Endurance bibs after winter.
I live in Minnesota which means there's no such ting as bad weather, just bad clothing choices when it comes to outdoor riding. These bibs are amazing to ride in. I did my first ride in them on a Saturday for 3 hours and then washed them and did a second ride in them the next day for 5 hours. I felt great and they looked great:)
I purchased this item and reached out to machines wto let them know the stitching on the chamois came undone and the chamois is busting out of place and moves during the ride. Machines blamed it on my saddle… although my other bibs from other companies have not had that problem. They did not offer any support and said they could not help. Save your money and try something else. If feels good to put these on initially and then you are left with saddle sores.
Overall these shorts fit well. I've only worn them once so far but they were very comfortable. The one exception is the waist tends to roll over/down some when riding and that is a bit annoying. I'm 5'5, 120lbs and the size small fits me well.
Well, after a few months of wear, the stickies have fallen off… such a bummer.
They shed everywhere and are a nuisance.
Can I send them back?
First pair of shorts (have always worn bibs) and was worried they would cut in but the don’t! Also really flattering!
I have always preferred bibs to shorts, but tried out MFF cycling pants during colder months. When I saw the rock bottom price for these shorts, I had to snag them! Same great chami and fit as the pants. I intend to use these on shorter rides or if going for a longer tour/bike packing trip. 5'2, 135# and size S fit well.
Very comfortable, awesome waistband that stays in place during the whole ride. Lovely fabric, great pad for long rides
Recommended and I would definitely buy again
These tights just FEEL good, which is not something I've really ever said about cycling tights. They're soft and silky. They are not lined, so they're good for a moderately cold but not freezing temperature. I like the vents behind the knees. The fit seems true to my usual cycling clothing size. I'm 36/28/40 (cyclists!) with long legs and a fair amount of my weight in butt/thighs, and the Large is just right.
I went by the size chart and bought a small. I’m a medium in everything and should have gotten my usual size. They feel tight and I like to be more comfortable. They are well made though, price was fair and shipping was fast.
Super comfortable, flexible, and very well padded where it needs to be
I took the MFF advice for my measurements and bought the small. I can barely put them on, it's so pretty hard to say much else about them. Bought them on sale, so no returns.
Sad.
I saw these on final sale and thought I'd give them a try. I wear M in most bike brands -- Pearl Izumi, Giordana, Rapha. These arrived and the fit was ...strange. Super tight on the legs and hips, weirdly long below the knee. Had hoped a brand like MFF would have a handle on sizing but I was wrong. And I can't send them back. Oh well.
