I have sun sensitivities and hate sunscreen, so I was determined to find something full length that would work for my situation. I am happy to have found MMF’s solution for sun protective cycling gear! I actually had ordered another brand before finding these, and sent them straight back. The fit was atrocious, and they definitely didn’t have the cooling factor that the MMF tights have. I love the mesh vents behind the knee, by the way. Genius! Kept me comfortable on a hot ride in West Texas this past weekend (with record highs for this time of year) which pleasantly surprised me. I was able to enjoy the spring wildflowers along my path instead of feeling like I was going to have a heat stroke or worrying about sunburn. 😏
I love these tights. They're snug and hold you in and look like normal leggings with no logos or weird neon on them, so I can pop off the bike and into the shop quickly and not feel like I look "too spandexy" (if you know what I mean). However, as a TALL woman, these tights are too short. The knee vents at the back of the knee actually hit my legs mid-back-of-the-thigh, and there's quite a lot of ankle cleavage. And, the rise isn't quiiiiiite long enough to be high-waisted for me. I see they offer petite sizes in this pant...would love to see TALL sizes for true body inclusivity. Us tall cyclicsts would love some love, too.
These leggings are great! I was tired of trying to put my shorts under regular leggings or keep leg warmers from rolling down my thighs, when I decided to try these. Love the rise and the soft fabric! Also, there are vents in the back of the calves, so I can see myself wearing these even in early summer when I don't want to bother with sunscreen (ha).
Fabulous fit. Very comfortable . Even though they are full length they are great to wear in hot weather and keep you safe from the sun. Would highly recommend.
First bike pants that are comfortable and also nice looking.
I've been trying for a long time to get bibs in my size (XXXL) with a really good chamois. Machines for Freedom have been very helpful in making sure I found some. I've only done a few rides with them so far but they are significantly more comfortable than any other bibs I've worn. Initially I tried the Endurance bibs in the standard length. They were a little short and rolled up. The full length MVPs overcome this problem, and feel great as we move into the cooler months in the southern hemisphere. Worth every cent. I'm encouraged to try the Tall version of Endurance bibs after winter.
I live in Minnesota which means there's no such ting as bad weather, just bad clothing choices when it comes to outdoor riding. These bibs are amazing to ride in. I did my first ride in them on a Saturday for 3 hours and then washed them and did a second ride in them the next day for 5 hours. I felt great and they looked great:)
I purchased this item and reached out to machines wto let them know the stitching on the chamois came undone and the chamois is busting out of place and moves during the ride. Machines blamed it on my saddle… although my other bibs from other companies have not had that problem. They did not offer any support and said they could not help. Save your money and try something else. If feels good to put these on initially and then you are left with saddle sores.
Size up for a roomy winter fit! As a tall girl, most cycling leggings are very restrictive and tight on my knees. These leggings are smooth and comfortable around my knees while giving me room to tuck in extra layers. They fit a bit more like capris than pants. They don't go all the way down to my ankles. I'm 5' 11', and I ordered a size large for a comfortable fit. I usually wear their sized medium shorts that are pretty snug. I like having these in a size large for winter comfort. I've worn them in 60 degree weather so far and did not overheat.
The fit was great, with good compression and the chamois was so comfortable that I can ride without any issue for long hours (up to 5 hours so far). I'm 5'2 and 34 in the hip and got a x-small which fit perfectly. The only thing to note is that the bibs do lose a bit of dye after their first few washes and also turn brown after being under the sun riding after some time.
I love these shorts. They've been comfortable on long rides in the saddle for 8+ hours and while I thought I wouldn't like the longer length, I don't mind it at all. I really like the band-less hems on these, too. My legs look a little less like stuffed sausages - especially in colder months when I wear leggings over my shorts. The chamois is comfortable and provides a lot of support and coverage. I have two pairs and will be saving up for more!
I'm 5' 6" and 145 # and wear a size large. They provide just enough compression and are comfortable in the waist.
Bib short is incredibly comfortable ! I've never worn one like this.
But I find it's a bit too long on legs, I would prefer a shorter one. Would be great if you could do it ! :-)
Excellent chamois, shorts fit perfectly.
I absolutely love these shorts! Please make them in more colors! I bought I small, at first they seemed like they might not fit and they took a little bit of wrestling to get in, but once they're in place they fit comfortably snug. I am 5'9" 148lb, and have thicker thighs and butt compared to my upper body.
I have the essential cycling pants and came back for the essential cycling shorts. Same great quality, love the chamois and no digging in the thighs. I wish I had enough money to buy all things machines for freedom! Best stuff out there!!!!
I’m a novice cyclist and just took out on my first multi-day biking adventure. I LOVE these bibs. They are comfortable and flattering and had adequate padding for a 50 mile ride. Importantly, I was able to wear several days in a row simply by airing out. I wore the essential short on shorter rides. Highly recommend!
Machines for Freedom has my favorite bike shorts, so obviously I wanted to buy my bibs from them too. I am 5’2 125 lbs and the small fits greats! Legs don’t roll up, shoulder straps don’t dig in.
It is impossible to find well-fitting gear when you're shaped like a pear. I love my body, my curves, my weight, but not usually when I'm trying to buy athletic wear because almost NOTHING fits. The measurements fit bodies with waists and hips at least 5 inches smaller than mine. So finding these bibs was so exciting. They are comfy, fit and ride well, and are worth every penny. I'm just getting into cycling again, and it is SO amazing to wear gear that is made to fit my (nontraditionally shaped) body. As it turns out, plus sized women enjoy being athletic too! And not just in oversized sweats. Thank you for making inclusive sizing. It means the world.
I'm debating buying a second pair - These are my new favorite bibs! SO comfortable!!!! So much so that I immediately wash them - so they're ready to grab for the next ride. I can't explain the comfort level - I own many pairs of "womens bibs" but these are just designed so much better! They look small coming out of the packaging - but fit perfectly. Highly recommend - worth every penny!
Really like the fit and compression of these bibs. Only complaint would be making it easier to use the restroom mid-ride!
