Stays in Place

Super comfy and the waist band stays in place.

Great compression

With a 41" hip and 31" waist, I ordered the medium and find the leg compression really nice. The chamois is comfy, and the waist is nice and high with no pinch points, though it does sometimes roll down a bit. I'm 5'4" tall and the length works well on me as well. If I end up ordering the MVP bibs, which I'm waiting to restock, I might order the medium and large and return whichever one doesn't fit, just to see if the large would work better.

Just a little too short

I’m 5’9 and found these pants to be a little too short. The chamois was comfy though! Still love MFF forever and always.

Leggings are great but chamois is too big for me

I want to like these. The leggings are similar to lululemons align tights- so soft and well fitting EXCEPT the very large chamois makes me question if I got too large of a size. The waist and rest of the tights fit though. This is my first pair of MFF cycling kit. The chamois comes down my leg past the side padding on my Adamo saddle.

For reference I’ve worn mainly Asos (what I considered a large chamois before these) and men’s and women’s Castelli kits (smaller chamois)

I realize everyone’s anatomy is different and you have to find what works for you but that’s just my two cents

Fabric has a lovely hand, compression is far too much, cut into my waist caused a muffin top.

It was a struggle to get these tights on. I purchased the correct size per size chart. The fabric has a lovely hand. The compression is like wearing Spanx. The waist rolled down immediately causing an unflattering muffin top and would have been very uncomfortable to ride in. I've worn lots of brands of compression bike shorts and these take compression to an extreme.

FULL SEND!

I was reluctant to drop so much money on a pair of bibs being that I am at the largest size I have ever been and part of me has been hoping I would lose weight before I bothered investing even more money into new gear that would only become too big for me. But that’s a great problem to have isn’t it? And you have to start somewhere don’t you? Ever since getting my shipment I have realized that the best way to start descending in size is to wear something that is actually comfortable while you ride. Because now that I FINALLY have a bib that actually fits my curves and addresses all of my lovely lady lumps properly, I not only feel so much more comfortable and confident while I ride, but looking this good while riding gives me the desire to want to keep getting back into my gear everyday and back onto the saddle. So much of the cycling community is non-inclusive and that is what put MFF so ahead of the curve and leaving womxn feeling actually supported (in all the right ways and places). I am so so so very happy that I decided to fully send it on this purchase and treat myself to this and I highly recommend anyone in a similar boat to do the same thing! :) The quality is breathable and the fit is just all-around fantastic.

A True MVP. Nearly there.

This might actually be my favorite set of cycling bottoms. Living in a pretty temperate climate (basically 65-70F year round), I've noticed that I have reached for these bottoms time and time again. I wouldn't say it's my cushiest set of cycling bottoms, but they are comfortable enough! The longest I've ridden in them are 50 - 60 milers and I can totally see myself riding longer with these on! And such a luxury, they actually look FABULOUS. I've gotten so many compliments from fellow female riders! Only downside (and I think this might just be me and my body type)., I seem to be in-between sizes. The small feels just a touch too compressed and the medium was definitely too large for me. I ended up staying with the small and hoping the fabric will relax a bit in time (for reference, I'm waist 29", hips 40")

Feeling like a superhero!

The MVP tights are my first bib and I am SHOCKED at how incredible the compression felt. I put them on and honestly felt like a superhero! I recently had gallbladder surgery and compression shorts/pants with a waistband put too much pressure on my incisions to comfortably ride for long. I am 5’9” and the tights hit right above the ankle.

I can’t thank MFF enough for being size inclusive and so thoughtful with fit. Being new to cycling and getting my strength back, it can be so discouraging to not find gear that fits. The size chart recommendations guided me to a perfect fit (for my first time EVER when shopping online)! I felt more confident on the bike than I have before and am so grateful to have found MFF!

Perfect Fit

These bib tights have been perfect from ride one! I couldn't believe what a difference they made!
Riding without a tight waistband is not only more comfortable, but it means I don't even think about my clothes while I ride.
The tights are the perfect amount of compression, great leg length (I'm 5'9", they hit just at the ankle), and breathable.
Huge shout out to MFF for making plus-size women's cycling gear - I hope others in the industry pay attention!

Most Versatile Pant

I’ve tried all the high end women’s pants and I’m sold for a lifetime customer of machines for freedom. They are the most comfortable pants and chamois I’ve ever worn and very flattering as an added bonus. Looking forward to purchasing more cycling clothing from machines for freedom.

Great for wide sit bones

These provide excellent padding and good comfort after a long ride. Definitely a snug fit and somewhat sheer when stretched (I'm usually a 00/0 and according to the size chart I ordered the XS) but after reading other reviews I got the sense that that's typical.

You get what you pay for

I am not an aggressive rider but I do ride everyday and rely on padded shorts to make the miles more bearable.
Being a larger woman, my choices are few. I had some shorts that I wore for years and liked them. When I went to replace them, they had changed and we no longer good for me.
I learned of Machines for Freedom on Reddit. I took a looked but was dismayed by the cost. I made the mistake of trying other brands that either fell apart in two months or were just wrong from the start. I spent more money trying to save money.
I got some money for Christmas and ordered a pair. I knew they would be snug, but I was not prepared for these shorts. But once I got them on and went for a ride, ahhhh. My lady bits swore I wasn’t even on a bike!
Now that the weather is warmer, I think it is time to invest in a second pair.

Better than Bibs

I was skeptical about trying out shorts as opposed to bibs like I am used to and I can honestly say that I like these better than bibs. Granted, they are my first pair of Machines for Freedom, so maybe I am just experiencing the fact that they're engineered for a woman's body with curves but either way, I am sold. I only began to feel a little saddle sore after sitting in these for 50 miles. If you're on the fence, you'll be glad you tried. 100% worth it.

I am 5'4" and 155lbs and ordered a medium and they're perfect, for reference.

Finally stylish bike shorts

I like these shorts. They dig in a bit more than the bibs but the convenience is worth it and they are in my regular rotation.

Great bike shorts- have just used them for spin so far- NH winter... very comfortable. I would prefer a bit longer inseam but otherwise the fit for small- I’m 5’3” 113 lb- is perfect.

My new favorite bib!

I love my new bibs! They are a little hard to get on my legs, but once I’m in, it’s all good and they’re very comfortable. The chamois is the perfect width and provides coverage in the right spots.

Couldn’t be happier

I am a curvy athlete (5’6, size 16, current weight 198, purchased size XL) who has always felt uncomfortable in traditional bike shorts because they cause the dreaded muffin top. I never really considered bike bibs because 1) they are expensive and 2) I thought they’d be hot and uncomfortable. Well let me tell you I am so happy I took the plunge!! Yes bibs are more expensive but these are so worth it. One of the deciding factors for me was that Machines for Freedom uses models of all shapes and sizes which encouraged me to purchase. Once I received the bibs I immediately tried them on. Like others mention they were a tad tight to get over legs/hips but once on they feel like a glove and smooth everything out perfectly. I’m a mountain biker who prefers wearing bike shorts over liners (not into the spandex look) and the bibs do great under my outfit and take 5-10 pounds off me smoothing out the muffin top which makes me feel more confident.

I went on my first ride a few days ago and I can attest that the padding is perfect and I didn’t notice the extra bib material making me hotter than normal.

I couldn’t be happier with these bibs - I will absolutely be buying another pair - worth every penny!!

I used my hip measurement for the perfect size/fit

Amazing!

These are by far the best bibs I have ever used. Super comfortable, so flattering and feel like butter on your skin. They do take a minute of struggle to get up over the thighs and hips the first few times you put them on, but do not get discouraged. The bibs will stretch to your body.

A bit pricey, but totally worth it.

A Game Changer

These bibs changed mountain biking for me. Before, my resident saddle sore would be so painful and limiting after a few hours in the saddle, but these bibs allow me a long ride without any soreness. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to wear any other bib shorts again. Well worth the price, even in Canadian Dollars + duties.
