I don't normally review things..

....But these are the best damn cycling kits ever! I've been cycling for over 20 years - back in the day where our racing kits were men's. I bought a kit from MF on a whim, thinking we'll this is a bit expensive, but so cute I'll give it a try. Now I'm in deep - I have three bibs, three jerseys, the vest, jacket and two undershirts. They are the only kits I'll wear now. Where were these 20 years ago!?! Hands down the best investment after the bike!

These pant ROCK!

I love every Machines item I have purchased, but the Most Versatile Pant is my new Most Favorite addition to my cycling wardrobe. I have been wearing their bib shorts and loving those, but on a chilly morning these pants make my ride not just possible, but enjoyable. The chamois is the real deal, they fit true to size (I purchased a M as I did in the bib shorts as well) and they look great. I wanted to purchase a second pair but they are currently out of my size. Please re-stock soon!

As versatile as promised

I love these. The waist/chest part looks great and doesn't dig in, and the sleek, compressive feel is fun. (I followed the size chart and ended up with Medium.) The most stand-out element, though, is the fact that these are full-length tights with the lighter fabric of shorts. It's hard to find high-end bib tights that don't use heavier fabric to guard against truly cold weather. In the Bay Area, where it's 45-75 most of the time, the MVP is just right for basically every ride except the hottest days — and it looks great.

The chamois is comfortable —- perhaps a hair less cushy than my Assos pair, but the other qualities more than make up for it.

These are the ONLY bibs I own. I’m a endurance athlete and long distance cyclist. 100mi on a Saturday down the PCH is baseline. I ride in these throughout the year - both winter (40 degrees) and summer (112 degrees). I’m between sizes and always take the smaller size as the fabric will relax a tiny bit to fit your body. Too big is no good - as no one wants extra fabric moving around only to chafe and bunch up. Girl parts are secure. Body is lean and secure - working fabulously with base layers, jerseys amd outerwear. Compression like qualities feel legit. During my rides bibs often times become drenched with sweat. When this happens they dry quickly while keeping my body temp regulated. Do yourself a favor - order two sizes. Try them both on. Send the larger one back and get to riding!!! You’re welcome. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Secure in all of the right places.

I love the Endurance Bib shorts, so I thought I would give these long tights a try! Though a little tricky to get on at first because of the compression, once in, these are the most comfortable bib tights that I own. They have been perfect for 45ºF+ rides on their own, and I look forward to layering over them this winter. I have had really good luck with all of the MFF chamois, and these tights are no different.

A whole other universe of comfort

I couldn't believe it when I put on this gear. You can barely feel it, it is so comfortable... and it makes me feel so put together and confident. I'm fairly conservative with my resources, but this was one purchase that was definitely worth the investment. The zippers are small, so be gentle with them - but I decided that isn't really a drawback. It makes it so that you don't notice the zipper as much while you're riding, so I'm perfectly happy to be a little gentle taking it on and off for that benefit.

Lovely prints! So vibrant in person

I bought various short and long sleeved jerseys recently to try on. The colours and designs are really something! These are sewn/made in China, with a small square "Machines For Freedom" patch/logo on the lower left hand side. I got them on the Black Friday sale, and feel less guilty about all the retail therapy I've been doing throughout 2020 (pandemic amiright? that weekly serotonin hit I get from spending money). I don't think I will be keeping all the jerseys so will be keeping the one jersey that really, really, REALLY sparks joy before returning the rest of my shopping haul. Trying to be more of a miminalist these days!!

Chamois of my dreams

I love these bibs! My pelvis has brought 4 wonderful little people into this world, and my sit bones are at their widest ever. I use a 168mm saddle, and with most chamois on the market my sit bones fall off the edge of the padding leading to a chaffing no-padding nightmare. I honestly was brought to tears in the past realizing that most bib companies don't have chamois wide enough and feeling like I would never be allowed to comfortably ride my road bike. I am pleased to say that the MFF chamois stays in place effortlessly, doesn't feel bulky and the padding is securely under my wide sit bones. I love the time and effort that MFF has put into creating truly great cycling gear for the female body - I'll never shop anywhere else!

Great fit for small ladies too!

Highly recommended for ladies with a long torso (no matter how tall you are) or if you like a longer fit in the leg.
Super comfy, love riding in them. Thank you MFF for making lovely things for people of all sizes.

Bought this a while ago but only tried today. I did 62km in this bib and it was very comfortable. Great product.

Wow

I can't say enough good things about these. They are my first pair of bibs and they are 10 times comfier than the shorts I had been wearing. They are absolutely worth the price and I will definitely recommend them to any of my fellow lady cyclists! 10/10 will be buying another pair once I recover financially from the first pair hahaha

Century Tested

I tested and reviewed these bibs for roadbikerider.com Just loved them. Great bibs.
https://www.roadbikerider.com/machine-for-freedom-endurance-bibs-review/

Century Tested. Incredible Comfort.
Recently I reviewed Machines for Freedom’s (MFF) new Essential shorts and really liked the fit, comfort and quality. The one thing I would have preferred was a longer inseam. When I found out they offered their Endurance bibs in a tall version, I decided to test MFF’s tried and true flagship product. The Endurance bibs are available in regular and tall versions, with the tall having a 1.5” longer inseam.

My first ride in these bibs was 46 miles. Normally I wouldn’t head out in a new pair of bibs for such a long ride. But after slipping them on, I was amazed at how comfortable they were. Off I went and never thought twice about what I was wearing. Everything stayed in place, no shifting of the chamois, no adjusting or tugging on the leg band, just got on my bike and rode.

Then this past weekend I had a century ride. Same thing…great comfort not only from the chamois and moisture wicking compression fabric, but also how great it looked on me. The shorts part is made of panels that not only make them fit perfectly but also give you a slimming look. The high sides and back keep you covered while the mesh bib straps and panels enhance air flow so you stay cool.

The chamois is the same for both the Essential shorts and Endurance bibs. It is next to skin soft and uses a thermo-molded design to eliminate any extra bulk. It fits all sit bone widths and a high density ‘pelvic track’ insert shaped for a women’s anatomy. According to the company’s web site, polymide-carbon threading is used to make the fabric ultra-fast drying, bacteriostatic, and heat reducing.

The option for a tall version of the Endurance bib provided me with a 1.5” longer inseam so it hit me just below mid-thigh. A wide leg band with silicon grippers kept everything in place and I never found myself tugging at the hem to pull it down.

Bottom Line
You can tell the Endurance bibs by Machines for Freedom are designed by women for women. The fit, comfort and performance are spot on. Even after a 100-mile ride I felt great. These may be pricey but they are worth every penny. If they’d add reflective elements to the leg, they’d be a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

Love the fit and the look!

I’m new to cycling so I’m trying bibs from various brands. These are hands down my favorite. They’re comfy, flattering and stay put while riding. I also LOVE the inclusivity and diversity of MFF. I love seeing women that represent all body types modeling the MFF gear. You will have a repeat customer with me!

Actually wide enough!

My biggest issue with bibs of all brands has been finding a chamois that is wide enough for my sit bones. I almost always have bibs that are super comfy when I try them in-store, but they end up useless when they shift throughout longer rides and don't cover my sit bones. These bibs have a wider, well-placed chamois that covers where I need it. I love the super-high mesh body, the silicone leg grips that don't squeeze, and the compressive held-in fit. They are definitely my new go-to bibs!

Awesome!

There was a mix up with an exchange and long process for turn around to get my much needed and anticipated bibs back. With all that said, customer service worked to help me get them back.
Pfewf! Because these are by far the most comfortable (for my bits and butt) and awesome bibs I've ever ridden. I've literally ridden every day and get excited when these are clean. I save them for my long days/weekends as I know my body will be taken care of AND it fits my long/hard to clothe torso.
They also have held up against my family wear.
I was apprehensive about xl, as I'm med/large in most active wear, even with thick legs/butt/hips, but they fit beautifully.
I've never felt cute in bibs until these, as I'm always picking comfort over everything, but these make me wanna work it!
I had to save up to buy these and they're worth the price💕

Excellent jerseys

Jerseys are as lovely as I had hoped. Love that they’re summer weight but long sleeve, this was the main selling point for me. I’m 171cm and 62kg and went for medium which is good for me, couldn’t have gone any smaller as snug around the bust. But medium perfect for me. I had some trouble with FedEx through U.K. customs but MFF were super helpful and made sure all the issues were resolved.
I will definitely buy again.

Love this breezy jersey!

This jersey is super comfy and breezy - I have used it on a few rides where the temperature dramatically changed from 50s in the early morning to 70s later in the day and it was great at keeping me warm and keeping me cool.

Very impressed

I didn’t have high expectations because, really how good can it get? But this jersey is the beat ever. I’m sad I waited so long to buy one. It is surprisingly lightweight. I wear mine in FL sun and it’s perfect. Also super flattering!

My New Favorite!

This piece is my first MFF long sleeve. LOVE the fabric!!! Great pockets.
It is out of my smart budget so I had to wait a long time for a 20%off sale. I wear it with a vest & or packable jacket. As winter mornings cool, I’ll be adding a base layer tank.
Perfect layering weight for all day riding.
I’m over 50 yrs, 5’4” athletic and curvy build, with a real womanly tum tum. I wear a 38C, but I’m approx 40” bust.
I decided a large MFF top is my ideal comfort.
Via chart & calculation I was on the cusp of a medium.
I don’t like race fit or too much compression, so I went up a size & very pleased! & It’s not too long!

So comfortable and flattering

The fabric is not only beautiful, it’s very soft and lightweight for an extremely comfortable fit. I can wear it on hot Northern California days and not feel overheated. But it’s heavy enough for cool Fall or Spring mornings when there’s a little chill in the air. The fit is perfect, form fitted without being too tight (I got the size small and I’m 5’4”, 125#).

Tropical weather approved

I've been eyeing the MFF long-sleeved jersey for a while but was a bit hesitant because of the weather here in the Philippines (Manila, most specifically) can get scorching. I've had the regular short sleeved ones for a while but haven't been able to maximize them these years because they're too thick for our weather and I often overheat.

When I saw the Black Friday sale, it was my chance to try it out so I immediately put it into my cart without thinking twice! I tested out the jersey over the weekend and it felt really great on the skin. The fabric is much much thinner than the short sleeved ones, and the breathable fabric under the arms helped to cool me down. The ride started off chilly which kept me warm, but when the sun came out, it covered me enough not to get burnt but was lightweight so I didn't overheat. I did try this for a metric century ride in January, which is the coolest time of the year for us. I'll have to do more riding with this over the summer to really see if the breathability can do its magic. Either way, I'm still going to get another one!

As for the size, just like all MFF jerseys, it fit like a glove. It hugged me in all the right places and made me feel pretty sexy! It was long enough to cover my arms and reached up to my wrists considering I have long limbs. The front and back was long enough not to ride up. Pockets are always very generous with space, allowing me to stuff them with my phone and snacks.

For context, I wear a small in both the long and short sleeved jerseys. I like the compression for the jerseys so I personally can't see myself sizing up. I'm 5'9" / 137lbs / 33" chest / 28" waist / 37" hips

My favorite jersey!

Love everything about this jersey - the fit, color, weight of material. It’s perfect for both hot and cold weather. I feel strong and sexy every time I wear it. Had to wait for the sale though cuz they’re a bit over
my budget. But when I did see it on sale, I couldn’t resist!

Thanks so much for giving us a try Rozanne! You are so RIGHT that it's about time we launched some new sizes. Jerseys in XXL and XXXL launch next week! We appreciate your patience while we developed them -- we developed the fit on the new sizes for about one year to ensure they are as good as the other sizes. We hope you'll feel the same!

Could there be a more perfect short??

I had resigned myself to wearing bibs on long rides despite the challenges of having to completely undress during rest stops (sometimes out in the wild) because of the lack of a high waisted compressive shorts option - but these completely solve that problem! First wear the waist band rolled down a little but subsequent wears it was no longer an issue. Padding is perfect - not too thick, not too thin. I appreciate the added fabric on the inner thigh for chub rub and the waist band and legs are perfectly compressive while not cutting in anywhere.

For reference 5'5, 150lbs and Medium is perfect.

Great shorts

These shorts were fantastic quality! I have a huge diastasis recti in my abdomen thanks to my darling baby number 4 and my stomach sticks out like I'm a few months pregnant. The shorts were great with a comfy amount of light compression on the stomach, but if you carry a lot of width in your tummy you should just get the bibs instead. Because the rise on the waist is a little high I couldn't keep the waistband from rolling down when I bent into riding position. But they were great shorts!!

K
K.K.
Most comfortable chamois ever

They feel odd when you walk in them, but they are perfect and have been great for long rides and touring. Really does seem to be made for women. I'm hooked. Ordering more. Pricey but worth it. They do run small though.

LOVE these.

These are amazing. I'm not a thin person, nor am I a tall person and I haven't had any issues with how these fit. I ordered to the measurements on the website, and despite starting out pretty tight, they have broken in to fit perfectly. I was so sick of my low-rise Pearl Izumi pair and these are the perfect fix. Thank you!

S
S.M.
So far so good

Essential Short, size small. I'm 5'8", 148 lbs, wear mostly size 8 or 6 jeans. Hips/butt are not super curvy; I'm pretty fit with an athletic build. Worn for hilly gravel riding.
Haven't done any rides over 35 miles yet because it's winter, but so far these shorts are working well. They are very compressive, but once they're on they are comfortable and stay put, even with my 54-year-old tummy. The pad is flexible and not overly bulky; it has worked well with my non-padded Brooks saddle. Can't wait to see how it does with some longer rides this spring.
I would have ordered Medium, but the measurement tool indicated small. I'm glad I did, because they fit my butt perfectly and don't slide down. The high waistband is flattering and doesn't pinch.
Please make these in a shorter length for summer rides!
