INTRODUCING PEDAL THROUGH
A film from Directors Analise Cleopatra & Aly Nicklas
Follow first-time film director and new mountain biker Analise on a journey of self-healing and growth during a week-long bikepacking adventure through the Oregon backcountry. With support from her dear friend Day Toliver, professional mountain biker Brooklyn Bell, and the greatest mentor of them all -- Mother Nature, Analise discovers how the power of pedaling through rainy days and tough terrain can lead to solitude, serenity, and a new level of self-assurance.
Shout out to the incredibly fearless all-female crew & co-director Aly Nicklas (who was 5 months pregnant!) who rode almost as many miles as the subjects while carrying camera gear and camping supplies.
We are thrilled to support this endeavor, create space for self expression & exploration and above all, amplify Black Joy and Black Healing in the outdoors space. Pedal Through represents the magic that happens when womxn creators, and Black womxn especially, are provided the means to fulfill their visions. Here’s to more womxn in film, more Black womxn on bikes, and more BIPOC representation in the outdoors.
