QOM Group Ride (Santa Monica)

Join us every Wednesday as we conquer the Santa Monica mountains! (Starting March 5th)

 

LOCATION:
All rides start and stop at:

Santa Monica, CA 90401

TIME:
Roll promptly at 8:00am

PACE:
The routes are designed to be challenging, while accommodating a range of fitness levels. The group will work together on the flats, averaging 18-20 mph.  For those who want to hammer, not to worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to push hard on the hills with re-group points at the top. 

SAFETY:
We ask all riders to follow these rules to keep our group as safe as possible.

  • You must be comfortable riding in groups and pacelines.
  • No aero bars or hybrid bikes.
  • Clip-in pedals and helmets are required.
  • All riders must carry their own tubes and air, in case of flats.
  • Rides are unsupported, so please bring adequate food and water.

PARKING:
There are a few spots located under the shop.  
If those are full, 9 hour meters are available on 9th and 10th street.
There is also parking at the Santa Monica Library.

• First 30 minutes Free
• Next 2 hours $1 per hour
• Each add’l 30 minutes $1

Parking hassels will be rewarded with the
best post-ride shop-espresso in town!

We start every month with "Climbing Light", building in distance and elevation as the month progresses.  Below is what we have planned this month, but please note routes are subject to change.

Short on time?  No problem!  We'll provide turnaround options for ladies that need to turn back early.
