What is it about riding dirt that feels like breaking all the rules?
For us, it's the wild abandon we feel when ripping downhill, picking lines just as fast as they appear. It's the places we've found just outside our city that still feel like secrets to the rest of the world. Wildflowers that exist nowhere else and a respect for the trail and its inhabitants; lazy snakes sunning and watchful coyotes looking down from the peaks.
On the dirt, veteran roadies still have the freedom of being a rookie. Of asking for help and making new friends and feeling no pressure of keeping up or setting records.
It's a new frontier every single time we set out. And it doesn't get much better than that.
